Timber Logs and Wood - based Products

 

Timber is one of the main exports of Myanmar and the KAUNG MYAT is directly involved in it. We co-operate with the Myanmar Timber Enterprise in log extraction and export of teak , pyinkado and other famous timber species We are extracting annually about 40,000 and able to export annually about 20,000 tons of pyinkado , a superior species of hard wood .

Besides co-operating with the MTE in extracting timber, the KAUNG MYAT also is engaged in production of such wood-based products as sawn timber parquet and and other finished wood-based products. There are produced at KM - owned mills, one of which is located in Sagaing Division ( in upper Myanmar ) and the other in East DAGON Industrial Zone.
