      A growing enterprise usually sets tough goals to achieve and strives to surmount the obstacles that lay strewn on the way and then obtains those self -imposed goals. The KAUNG MYAT CO., LTD is doing just that as the following account should indicate.
    Funded entirely by share capital of Myanmar entrepreneurs , who are imbued with the desire to contribute materially in the development of their country,  the KAUNG MYAT has now become a company dealing in diverse business activities. The main areas of business in which we are engaged right now are as follows

     ( a ) Importing of machinery and machinery spare parts,
     ( b ) Importing and local distribution of golf equipment and accessories;

     ( c ) co-operation with the Myanmar government in extraction and exporting of timber logs and sawn timber as well as production of timber - based goods for local and foreign markets.

 

Other activities

 

KAUNG MYAT also involves itself, in co-operation with relevant authorities, in preventing the forest from being depleted. One of the ways to prevent forest depletion is to seek on- alternative for fire-wood . This company now co-operates with the Ministry of Forests in running a small coal mine in Sagaing Division This small mine now produces about 10,000 tons of coal annually and we envisage the production to increase in the future.

KAUNG MYAT's other activities include -
( a ) building of 107 units of low - cost houses in Magway Division , at the urging of the government and by way of helping the local community there ,
( b ) management of the Shwe Sar Yan Golf Resort; and
( c ) management of a hotel at Magway and planning building off and hotels elsewhere.
